Family Camp Five-Day Experience // Horses & Homesteading (July 6-10)
Join us for this action-packed week of nature exploration, horses and games. We have designed this camp to engage learning through a variety of games around the farm-- some of our games will be on horseback! The week will encourage a spirit of competitive and cooperative learning- both on the ground and with your horse! Each day will have a planned trail ride (optional) and horse-based activities.
Typical Daily Activities (Wed - Thurs - Fri - Sat - Sun)
- Breakfast - 8am (overnight campers)
- Catch Horse - 9am
- Opening Circle - 9:30am
- Ride & Lunch (sometimes we eat on the trail!) - 10am-noon
- Afternoon craft or planned, themed activity - 1-2:30pm
- Closing circle - 2:30pm
Camp Supplies: Reusable water bottle, boots (if possible), long pants/leggings, sunscreen, bug spray, snacks. If you have special dietary needs, please consider bringing your own lunch daily. We will send more details upon registration!
Attendees: Adult caregiver may attend our camp at no additional cost, with participating youth.

June's Weekend / June 24-25-26 / The Nature of Horse-Human Relations
Dr. Thecla Helmbrecht Howard and her herd and wonderful volunteer staff at Kamp Kessa are offering you an opportunity to see yourself through the divine mirror of the horse.
During this immersive weekend on the farm, you will participate in circle, herd art and journaling, riding the beautiful hills of Kentucky and develop a better understanding of the way horses are our souls reflection and healers in the field of complementary medicine.
